2. New DVD arrivals

(BOOK NOW) The 11th Hour - Humankind's 11th hour is here: the last moment when we can change course and stop our rush toward global ecological collapse. Actor Leonardo DeCaprio produces and narrates this urgent and transformational look at where we've been, where we're going and - most important - how we can change. Thinkers from Mikhail Gorbachev to Stephen Hawking to sustainable design expert William McDonough and dozens more reveal the current, critical state of life on planet Earth. Astonishing images of floods, fires, hurricanes, collapsing ice cliffs and growing mountains of waste juxtaposed with images of a sustainable future urge us to take action. Will we employ exciting new technologies and change our behavior to save our planet? The crisis is now; but we do have the solutions to save this unique blue planet for future generations.

(BOOK NOW) 27 Dresses - Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up, TV's Grey's Anatomy) lights up the screen in this charming romantic comedy from the screenwriter of The Devil Wears Prada. Heigl stars as Jane, a romantic, completely selfless woman who has been a bridesmaid in no less than 27 weddings. Unfortunately her own happy ending seems to be nowhere in sight. Until her younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane's boss - on whom Jane has a secret crush inspiring Jane to change her "always-a-bridesmaid" destiny.

(BOOK NOW) The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (Oscar nominee) - From Miramax Films, acclaimed director Julian Schnabel, and the screenwriter of The Pianist comes a remarkable and inspiring true story about the awesome power of imagination. Experience the triumphant tale of renowned editor Jean-Dominique Bauby, a man whose love of life and soaring vision shaped his will to achieve a life without boundaries. You'll soon discover why David Benby of The New Yorker calls The Diving Bell And The Butterfly "nothing less than the rebirth of the cinema."

(BOOK NOW) The Goonies - From the imagination of Steven Spielberg, The Goonies plunges a band of small heroes into a swashbuckling, surprise-around-every-corner quest beyond their wildest dreams! Following a mysterious treasure map into a spectacular underground realm of twisting passages, outrageous booby-traps and a long-lost pirate ship full of golden doubloons, the kids race to stay one step ahead of a family of bumbling bad guys... and a mild-mannered monster with a face only a mother could love. A family adventure classic from start to buccaneering finish, The Goonies is a cinematic treasure trove of breathtaking action, dazzling effects and shiver-yer-timbers thrills!

(BOOK NOW) The Golden Compass (Oscar nominee) - In a wondrous parallel world where witches soar the skies and Ice Bears rule the frozen North, one special girl is destined to hold the fate of the universe in her hands. When Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richards) becomes the keeper of the Golden Compass, she discovers that her world - and all those beyond - is threatened by the secret plans of Mrs. Coulter (Nicole Kidman). With the help of Lord Asriel (Daniel Craig) and a group of unlikely allies ready to stand by her side, Lyra embarks on an extraordinary quest that celebrates friendship and courage against all odds.

(BOOK NOW) How She Move - Packed with jaw-dropping street moves and a hard-hitting soundtrack, this extraordinary dance film tells the story of a gifted young woman (Rutina Wesley) who defies the rules on the way to achieving her dreams. But when circumstances force her to return to the place she’s tried so hard to escape, she realizes winning the highly competitive Step Monster Contest could be her only real shot of getting out. Exploding with raw talent and contagious energy, How She Move proves some dreams just can’t be stopped.

(BOOK NOW) Legend of the Black Scorpion - International star Ziyi Zhang of Hero, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Memoirs Of A Geisha dazzles in this breathtaking action epic inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet. Renowned action choreographer Yuen Wo-ping (The Matrix and Kill Bill films) and the Academy Award winning art director and composer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon create "an extravagant spectacle of sin, balletic violence and bloodthirsty politics" (New York Asia Film Festival). Nominated for seven 2007 Hong Kong Film Awards, Legend Of The Black Scorpion (known internationally as The Banquet) is filled with astonishing action sequences like none you've ever seen.

(BOOK NOW) A Night at the Roxbury - Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan bring their head-bobbing, club-hopping Butabi brothers to the big screen in this fall-down-funny comedy. It seems like Steve (Ferrell) and Doug Butabi (Chris Kattan) will never be cool enough to make the Roxbury Club's guest list. That is, until they have a fender bender with their role model, club regular Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street). Eager to avoid litigation, Grieco befriends the starstruck pair and escorts them into a glittery world they once only dreamed about. Score! No longer will the hapless Butabis be A-club people leading B-club lives... maybe. Featuring Loni Anderson, Dan Hedaya, Molly Shannon and a dance-'til-you-drop soundtrack, A Night At The Roxbury is infectiously funny entertainment.

(BOOK NOW) Prom Night - Directed by Paul Lynch, this cult horror masterpiece starring Leslie Nielsen and scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis paved the way for future slasher films and inspired such blockbusters as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. For six long years, Hamilton High School seniors Kelly (Marybeth Rubins), Jude (Joy Thompson), Wendy (Eddie Benton), and Nick (Casey Stevens) have been hiding the truth of what happened to ten-year-old Robin Hammond the day her broken body was discovered near an old abandoned convent. The foursome kept secret how they taunted Robin - backed her into a corner until, frightened, she stood on a window ledge...and fell to her death. Though an accident, the then-twelve-year-olds feared they'd be held responsible and vowed never to tell. But someone else was there that day...watching. And now, that someone is ready to exact murderous revenge - on prom night.

(BOOK NOW) Speed Racer (Collector's Edition) - Roaring into action aboard his trusty Mach-5, it's the intrepid young race car driver who sparked an international cult phenomenon: the one-and-only Speed Racer! Now, for the first time ever, the first eleven episodes of this classic, hugely popular "Japanimation" series are brought together in this special limited edition DVD. Turbo-charged with all of Speed Racer's trademark animated thrills, offbeat humor, unforgettable characters and cliff-hanger action, these collectible, specially rematsered episodes are the stuff of every fan's dreams. So fasten your seatbelts-and join Speed, girlfriend Trixie, Speed's two brothers, one mischievous monkey and an outrageous assortment of villains for one fast-lane, no-brakes, nonstop adventure after another! Ready...Set...Go, Speed Racer, Go!

(BOOK NOW) St. Elmo's Fire - Seven friends, recent college graduates, are searching for a place in "the real world," as they face issues of career and commitment. Leslie and Alec (Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson) try to save a crumbling romance. Wendy (Mare Winningham), a shy virgin, hides a love for Billy (Rob Lowe), a reluctant father/husband still searching for goals. Kevin (Andrew McCarthy) is a cynical writer who scorns love until he realizes he's in love with his best friend's girl. Kirbo (Emilio Estevez), a law student, obsessively pursues an older woman. The beautiful, neurotic Jules (Demi Moore) paints a poignant picture of life in the fast lane. Against the backdrop of St. Elmo's, their local hang-out, they save, betray and love one another as only closest of friends can.
