The Amazing Spider-Man 2

An interview with director Marc Webb at Comic-Con divulged that the composer for the completed film will be none other than Hans. This would make it the 2nd time that he has replaced Danny Elfman on a superhero score after Batman. In this instance though, James Horner will not be continuing after scoring the first reboot. As the movie is already in post-production, this would be a case of the score being an obvious afterthought, and a question of what music is already in it being used for - read more -

The upcoming Rush (grin), sees an equal record 6th collaboration in what seems to be a now stable relationship between Hans and Ron Howard. The Backdraft director chose John Williams for his follow-up Far and Away. He then embarked on a 2nd long run with James Horner, before rekindling with Hans on The Da Vinci Code. Variety has just reported that Howard is slated to direct the adaptation of Dan Brown’s Dante’s Inferno, and if precedent plays out, 2015 should see a new record 7th - read more -
